PUPPY BOARD & TRAIN, ON-LEASH
FOR PUPPIES 14 WEEKS TO UNDER 6 MONTHS
Why Our Puppy Board & Train is Different
Our Puppy Board & Train, On Leash program is built around structure, clarity, and follow through during your puppy’s most important developmental stage.
This is not a volume based board and train. We intentionally work with a limited number of dogs so each puppy receives meaningful, hands on training throughout the day in a real home environment, not short rotations or kennel based routines.
Because this is an on leash foundation program, we focus on engagement, calm behavior, polite walking, and everyday household manners. The goal is not temporary obedience, it’s a puppy who understands expectations and can succeed in real life with you.
Owner involvement is built into the process so the training carries over seamlessly when your puppy comes home.

How Puppy Board & Train Works at Medina Dogs Training
Our Puppy Board & Train programs are immersive, real-home experiences designed to create calm, reliable behavior that carries into everyday life. Puppies live and train in a trainer’s home, not a kennel or facility, allowing structure, routines, and learning to develop naturally throughout the day.
Training begins with clear structure and predictable routines so your puppy feels safe, settled, and ready to learn. From there, we build engagement, confidence, and foundational obedience through consistent, age-appropriate work woven into daily life.
As your puppy progresses, training expands into real-world environments like neighborhood walks and low-distraction public spaces. The focus is not performance under pressure, but learning how to stay calm, responsive, and engaged as the world becomes more interesting.
Throughout the program, we emphasize:
- Calm behavior over overstimulation
- Clear boundaries and expectations
- Consistent routines that puppies can understand and repeat
- Skills that transfer cleanly back to the home
By the time your puppy returns home, they are not just responding to commands, they understand structure, routine, and how to exist calmly within your daily life.
Why Us
WHY CHOOSE MEDINA DOGS TRAINING FOR PUPPY BOARD & TRAIN
Training Happens in Real Homes
Your puppy doesn’t learn in a sterile kennel or controlled bubble. They live and train in a real home, so the behaviors we build, calm routines, leash manners, and structure, naturally transfer back to your household.
Project-Based Training, Not a Cookie-Cutter Program
We don’t run puppies through a preset checklist. Training is designed around your puppy, their temperament, your lifestyle, and the behaviors that matter most to you. What your dog needs is what we work on.
Confidence, Structure, and Clarity That Carry Home
We focus on creating a shared “language” your puppy understands, clear expectations, calm engagement, and reliable responses. That foundation is what allows skills to hold up at home, on walks, and in everyday life.
Motivation Over Force
We never force a puppy to perform. Training is built around motivation, engagement, and trust, because behaviors learned willingly are far easier for owners to maintain long after the program ends.
Industry-Leading Owner Coaching & Support
Most programs train the dog and hand them back. We train you, too. Our clients receive roughly double the industry standard for owner coaching, so you know exactly how to maintain structure, reinforce skills, and continue progress with confidence.

Common Questions
Frequently Asked Questions
Find answers to common questions about our dog training services, including methods, benefits, and tips for improving your dog’s behavior and obedience.
Yes, Early training is highly beneficial! As long as your puppy has received appropriate vaccinations, we can begin foundational training like crate conditioning, name recognition, and early socialization.
The ideal age is between 10 weeks and 6 months, depending on your puppy’s development and vaccination status. Starting young helps prevent bad habits before they form.
Puppies in our program learn core foundations like sit, stay, leash manners, crate training, socialization, and confidence-building. We also work on reducing nipping, jumping, and other common puppy behaviors.
Puppy Board & Train for Fremont, East Bay & Silicon Valley Families
We know that busy families in Fremont, Hayward, and San Jose often bring home a puppy with the best intentions — and quickly discover that puppyhood is a full-time job on top of everything else. That’s exactly why our puppy board and train program exists.
Rather than trying to squeeze consistent training into an already packed schedule — or relying on weekend classes where progress stalls between sessions — our program gives your puppy intensive, daily structure during the most critical developmental period. Puppies live in a real-home environment with a professional trainer, learning how to behave in the situations that matter most: greeting people calmly, walking on a loose leash, and responding reliably even with distractions.
When your puppy comes home, they don’t come home alone. We include structured handoff coaching sessions so you understand exactly how to maintain and build on the results. This is how we’ve helped puppy owners across the East Bay — from first-time dog owners in Fremont to experienced families in Milpitas — set their dogs up for a lifetime of being genuinely enjoyable companions.
Enrollment is limited. Reach out early to check current availability and find the right program fit for your puppy’s age and goals.
