ADOLESCENT & ADULT BOARD & TRAIN
Calm, Focused Dogs. Real-World Reliability.
Medina Dogs Training offers structured, results-driven training built for real-world results, not just controlled training environments. Whether your dog is an energetic adolescent testing boundaries or an adult who never developed a strong foundation, our programs are designed to deliver meaningful, lasting change.
We work with committed dog owners across the East Bay, Peninsula, Tri-Valley, Tracy, Stockton, and the greater Sacramento area with training based in Roseville. Our focus is on clear communication, consistent structure, and hands-on owner guidance so results hold up where it matters most, at home and in everyday life.
For Tri-Valley owners, our Livermore board-and-train programs provide a local next step for improving everyday manners, recall, leash skills, and structure.

Adolescent & Adult Board & Train Programs
(6+ months)
Structured training programs focused on clarity, reliability, and real-world control.
How Our Board & Train Programs Are Different
Our Adolescent & Adult Board & Train programs are built around structure, clarity, and follow through for dogs who already have established habits and routines. This is not a volume based board and train. We intentionally work with a limited number of dogs so each one receives meaningful, hands on training throughout the day in a real home environment, not short rotations or kennel based routines.
Training is individualized and adjusted to the dog in front of us, not forced into a preset template. We focus on calm engagement, reliable communication, and practical skills that translate to everyday life, both at home and in the world around you. The goal is not temporary obedience, it’s a dog who understands expectations and responds consistently.
Owner involvement is built into the process so the training carries over smoothly when your dog returns home, creating lasting results rather than short term fixes.

HOW ADOLESCENT & ADULT BOARD & TRAIN WORKS AT MEDINA DOGS TRAINING
Our Board & Train programs for adolescent and adult dogs are immersive, real-home experiences, never kennels or sterile training centers. Dogs live with a professional trainer and receive daily guidance in practical environments like homes, sidewalks, parks, and public spaces.
Our training starts by building a strong bond between your dog and their trainer, something most facility-based programs skip. That connection lays the foundation for lasting behavior change. From there, we focus on structure, impulse control, and calm behavior in real-world settings. And unlike most programs, we don’t stop when your dog goes home. We double the owner training to make sure everything sticks.
Our process focuses on four core elements:
- Training Goals & Structure Focus on leash skills, impulse control, engagement, and reliability based on the dog’s current habits.
- Real-Home Immersion Dogs live and train in real homes, not kennels, reinforcing everyday behavior where it actually matters.
- Guided Real-World Exposure Exposure to neighborhoods, parks, trails, and public environments, scaled appropriately to the dog and program type.
- Owner Training & Support Clear transfer of handling, expectations, and routines through graduation sessions and follow-up coaching.

WHY CHOOSE MEDINA DOGS TRAINING FOR ADOLESCENT & ADULT BOARD & TRAIN
Training Happens in Real Homes
Your dog doesn’t train in a kennel or controlled bubble. They live and train in a real home environment, where structure, routines, leash skills, and calm behavior naturally transfer to everyday life, not just training sessions.
Project-Based Training, Not a One-Size-Fits-All Program
We don’t follow preset timelines or cookie-cutter checklists. Training is built around your dog, their temperament, history, and the specific behaviors that matter most to you. What your dog needs is what we work on.
Calm, Reliable Behavior That Holds Up in Real Life
We focus on creating clarity, impulse control, and reliable responses under real-world distractions. The goal isn’t temporary obedience, it’s a dog who understands expectations and can make better choices at home, on walks, and in public.
Ethical, Relationship-Based Methods
There’s no force, fear, or shortcuts here. We train through connection, structure, and clear communication so behaviors are learned willingly and are easier for owners to maintain long after training ends.
Industry-Leading Owner Coaching & Support
Most programs train the dog and send them home. We train you too. Our clients receive roughly double the industry standard for owner coaching , so you know exactly how to maintain structure, reinforce skills, and continue progress with confidence.
Limited Dogs, Focused Attention
Our trainers work with a small number of dogs at a time. That means more hands-on training, better observation, stronger relationships, and results that don’t get rushed or diluted.

Serving Fremont, the East Bay & Surrounding Northern California Communities
Medina Dogs Training proudly works with dog owners across the East Bay and beyond. Our adolescent and adult board and train program is one of the most sought-after services for families and professionals in Fremont, Union City, Hayward, and Newark who need reliable, lasting results without the time commitment of weekly group classes.
The East Bay lifestyle — busy work schedules, active households, and access to parks, trails, and public spaces — demands a dog with genuine real-world obedience. Our program trains dogs in real environments, not just controlled settings, so when your dog comes home, the results travel with them.
We also regularly work with clients commuting from San Jose and Milpitas who prefer our approach over the larger commercial training facilities in Silicon Valley. If you’re in Alameda County or Santa Clara County and have been frustrated by inconsistent results from group classes or private lessons, our structured board and train model was built for exactly that situation.
Spots are limited per trainer to ensure individualized attention. If you’re ready to solve the problem for good, reach out to discuss availability in your area.
